At Stillwater, we strive to create an atmosphere that fosters growth, fulfillment, and joy.
Stillwater’s Philanthropy Efforts
One organization we hold near to our hearts and support as part of our philanthropic efforts is African Vision of Hope, a Christian organization committed to bringing immediate and lasting solutions to children and families living in extreme poverty. We confront the root causes of poverty by providing opportunities to be educated, grow up healthy, develop leadership and economic skills, and learn about God’s love. We do this by working in the areas stated below:
Educational programs help children who attend the African Vision of Hope Schools walk away with the ability to make wise future life decisions and ensure they will be presented with further opportunities after graduation.
The children we serve in the African Vision of Hope Schools will hear about Jesus Christ and how to develop and grow in a relationship with Him.
Clean Water and Sanitation
Our contributions ensure that clean water and sanitation are provided to the children and families in the communities surrounding the African Vision of Hope Christian Schools.
Community Leadership and Economic Development
African Vision of Hope empowers African communities with education and leadership training, enabling them to better support their families through enhanced knowledge and skills.
African Vision of Hope provides examinations, medical care, and medical education for children and families in the Zambian communities.
Food and Agriculture
This program ensures that each child who comes to the African Vision of Hope Schools will receive a nutritious and healthy meal to help them focus in school and grow to their full physical potential.
Stillwater’s Purposeful Activities
Our commitment to the African Vision of Hope organization is matched by our pride in being active members of the Metro East Community (MEC) Rotary. We take great pleasure in participating in local community and service events, which allows us to give back to the larger Metropolitan St. Louis area. As part of the MEC Rotary, we also organize the annual Purple Power Happy Hour, a fundraiser for the Edwardsville Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. Our residents can enjoy various activities, including card writing, interaction with local veterans, and the popular Lasagna Love event, all made possible through our MEC Rotary membership.
